2 weeks agoI got married to my 1st wife here. Many years later I live across the street from it! I've been there for retirement parties and other events. The staff is always attentive and understanding. The grounds are well kept and always clean.

3 months agoAfter photographing a handful of weddings at Vizcaya, it's easy to recommend this classy and beautiful wedding venue to couples looking to marry in the heart of Sacramento. Where many wedding venues outside the city can stretch across many acres, Vizcaya has a small footprint. Overnight accommodations, getting ready spaces, a number of courtyard spaces to fit ceremonies of different sizes, and the ballroom are all within a few steps from each other. This makes it easy for bridal parties and guests to move from one part of the day to the next without missing a beat. The staff gets plenty of credit for keeping things running smoothly as well. But amenities and facilities wouldn't be enough if they weren't also beautiful. And they are! The fountain surrounded by stairways out front is downright iconic, as is the mansion itself. The courtyards are walled off with foliage so that you can enjoy a wedding in the middle of Sacramento without hearing the hustle and bustle of the city just beyond. Also, make sure to check out that stained-glass skylight in the ballroom. I'm always happy to hear my couples have landed on Vizcaya as their wedding venue, as I know they will not be disappointed.

2 months agoOur wedding on October 19, 2025, was supposed to be one of the happiest days of our lives — but the experience at this venue left us deeply disappointed. From the start, the service felt unorganized and unprofessional. The manager, Raj, was rude and dismissive, which added unnecessary stress to what should’ve been a joyful day. We were promised a full team of staff to help things run smoothly, yet far fewer people showed up, and it was clear they were overwhelmed. Even after everything we had agreed on, we were hit with unexpected extra charges. It was heartbreaking to see how poorly things were handled after all the time, money, and trust we put into this place. I wouldn’t want any other couple to go through what we did. Your wedding day should be filled with care, respect, and joy — not frustration and disappointment. PS, There was one person who was very very nice. It was a blonde receptionist that I wish I remembered her name.

4 months agoOverall wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the penthouse, which was very reasonably priced during the week. Some items in the room were a little dated (old carpet), but the bathroom was recently remodel with an epic tub & shower. Staff was light and basically invisible in the evening. We will be staying here again for sure.

5 months agoWe really enjoyed our room and the peaceful, quiet neighborhood. We only spent one night here but I would definitely stay again. There is a great coffee shop (Zoe’s) just a short walk away that offered breakfast, lunch and your typical coffee house beverages.
