2 years agoGreat hike! Not difficult at all for someone who hikes a lot but not super easy for someone who just started. One of my favorite trails in the area, and the view at the top is great if you enjoy the cityscape. You can see all of the greater Phoenix area! The trail is very well kept!

2 years agoGreat trail, it really gives your legs a workout. Getting to dobbins lookout was a great reward after the hike up. Use the AllTrails map if needed. A couple of hikers went down the wrong side of the mountain and had to go all the way back up.

3 years agoAwesome trail! Trail conditions from the parking lot are sandy gravel through a few washes, after 5 minutes you’ll reach a paved road heading up to a water tower, this is where the trail incline begins. Most of the trek up to the summit consists of rocky steps and switch backs. Plenty of spots to roll your ankle if you’re not careful. I brought my 4 and 9 year old boys, they did fine. I timed and measured the distance. Took about 2.5 hours at a leisurely pace to do 5.69 miles round trip. Have fun!!

4 years agoThe trail head had plenty of parking, which is rare. I would not say it's an easiest hike, but bot too bad. Can be difficult for some people. The views at the Dobbins Lookout are the best in the valley. Definitely worth the hike.
