a week agoIts one of the warmest forested mountain ranges in the United States, and so one of the best for lovers of the outdoors. Pristine lakes, dynamic topography, and old growth forests mean there is always something to explore. Short, mild winters and long hiking, kayaking, motorcycle seasons. Most things are free or very cheap and readily available without reservations or waiting or extensive planning.

a week agoGorgeous forest, I drove though a lot of mountains in Arkansas and the scenery is very worth it. There's a lot to see on the way to the forests. 🌲

2 weeks agoFriends trail definitely did not disappoint for us and our 15 and 11 year old sons. We visit this park in the “off season” of January to unplug and enjoy nature during cooler weather.

4 weeks agoSkyline trail. Rained the two days before, water was high but the day was spectacular. Only 6 or so people until after noon then a few later. Trail was good and clean but lots of ups and downs.
