Great hike! Beautiful views. We went in the winter so the trail was covered with fallen leaves but you could still tell where the trail was. Pretty easy for the majority of it.

This is a moderate hike. I recommend bringing at least one trekking pole, backpack with supplies, snack and water. I did the 1.67 miles loop. At the start it had benches every once in a while but later did not. A few places are inclined and you will have to climb over some fallen trees. This is not a well marked trail. I did this hike on October 18,2024 the leaves were starting to turn. Sadly not good views due to many trees with the leaves. If you are wanting to see a good view I would suggest in going during November. Also there are a few rocks you will have to use on the trail so go during dry spells. The crash site was interesting along with Indian area. Kids would need to be watched as the trails are narrow. This trail is a one time for me mostly because I love the ones with waterfalls.

Took a drive to visit this trail yesterday. Fallen trees cover the trail in some spots but you can climb over or walk around (there’s usually a new worn path you can follow). The views are beautiful. Watch out for ticks and snakes and drive a car with good parking brakes. I would heed the advice of another reviewer and use a gas station restroom in Jasper prior to hitting the trail. A little more signage would be helpful to distinguish between the green and red trails. The trail difficulty is moderate, as there’s a few spots where you climb uphill but doable. Children can conquer this trail as long as they obey and have some grit. 2.8 miles took us about 1hr 42min, but we stopped at a few points to drink water and observe.

Decent trail. I think maintenance is needed to remove some over growth and clear the path a bit. It's not clearly marked which made following the trail tricky in some spots.

Very nice trail, lots of history and a very good scenic overlook of Jasper. You can see a the crash site of the B 25 bomber. We went in the evening and watched the sunset from the west ridge trail, it was amazing! Very good parking and easy to get to from town, right off of scenic 7 highway.
