in the last weekI have been to Lost Maples many times, in different Seasons. Each time I left my town early in the morning, at 5:30 A.M.. I have taken my dog during the Fall, on a weekday, hoping to see the changing of the leaves. To see reds, oranges, and yellows, the weather must be ideal. And these colors won't be liked those in the Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Ohio, etc.. Twice, I saw these colors when my dog and I walked from the parking lot into the dried rocky creek bed. For Texas standards, these colors are beautiful. Most people walked this path becsuse it's easier than another one. Two other times in Spring and Summer, I walked alone, up to the upper trail, where I had an outstanding view of the park. To be honest, it was easier walking up to this ridge than going down on dirt and rocks for me. I'm the type that can walk straight up, but I have problems going downward on any trail. Not too many people were on this trail. Another time, on a Saturday in the Summer, I went with a friend, her daughter, and her son to visit this park. She left at 10:00 A M.. When we arrived there was a long line of vehicles waiting to go in. We waited, but we're able to go in. They all enjoyed it. Each time I was there there were all types of persons visiting Lost Maples. I saw walkers, hikers, Boy Scouts, and people camping. This Natural Area has a lot to offer in seeing Nature. It's a place of serenity among beauty. Come, See, Visit, it any time of the year ! There's an entry fee.

in the last weekRaw, unadulterated, beautiful landscape filled with rolling hills and beautiful rock formations. Spent a night primitive camping at site A and truly enjoyed the pitch black night, and fresh mountain air.
