Had a great breakfast here a few months ago and was looking forward to it again, except I'm not sure when it's actually open? Website and Google hours show it's supposed to be open every day from 7:30/8:00, yet this is the second day I'm standing in front of a closed rolling door midmorning, with Google hours changed to "closed." (Yesterday's hours now show it should have been open; it wasn't.) I don't know what gives, but if you're looking for a reliable breakfast spot in the neighborhood, this apparently isn't it. UPDATE: Totally understand the need for occasional closures for maintenance, but I wish these were communicated somewhere other than just temporarily changing Google hours (which isn't very clear as to the reason or shows how long the closure is). Both days I walked to the shop to find it closed, and only saw the Google Maps closed status after I got there. Doing a Maps owner update post, a social media post, even a sign on the shop itself announcing the closure and timeline would have been way more helpful.

The relaxed, minimalist East Village atmosphere with good music makes it a nice place to sit and work. Tried the oat milk latte (well-balanced) and a croissant, both fresh and tasty. Service was quick and pleasant. It got moderately busy but still had seating. About $16-20 per person. Solid specialty coffee shop in the neighborhood.

Got there yesterday afternoon, an hour before closing. I asked the friendly barista for a "fruity, funky" cup of coffee, and she immediately recommended these beans from Colombia, that absolutely BLEW ME AWAY. An amazing bomb of flavours in the cup that I didn't expect at all. She was very knowledgeable, shared a lot about the coffee's origin and how it's used in competitions, which actually made me get two bags of beans to take home with me. For me, its the number one place for speciality coffee enthusiasts in the city, and that means a lot. Loved it.
