a month agoThey stopped selling good bread like Pain D'Avignon as well as other good brands and substituted their store brand, Maria's. The sharp increases in prices plus this turn to a house brand bread says something about greed, not customer service. The same problem has manifested itself with the soups. They used to be excellent but now all taste the same. They use a common base broth and then just add whatever ingredient that defines the type of soup - vegetables, lentil, etc. And a small soup is now $7.99 which suggests to me a margin of several hundred percent. Again, they have gotten greedy. But they have a semi-monopoly in this neighborhood and risk little by jacking up their prices.
