Fofana Express Hair

I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at Fofana Express Hair. The stylist assigned to me spoke very little English, which created a significant communication barrier. Although another employee attempted to help translate, it was still difficult to communicate exactly how I wanted my hair done. While I was happy with the overall appearance of my braids, they were done extremely tight and caused me significant discomfort. I respectfully brought my concerns to the owner/manager and explained that the braids were too tight. I was not refusing to pay. I was willing to pay the stylist the agreed-upon $200 because she had completed the service. My intention was simply to have the tight braids removed and change the style to larger box braids. Unfortunately, instead of having a professional conversation and trying to resolve the issue, the situation escalated. Several employees began speaking over me, raising their voices, and repeatedly telling me to pay the stylist without allowing me to fully explain what I was trying to do. One employee, in particular, was extremely confrontational. She repeatedly interrupted me, refused to allow me to speak, and contributed to an intimidating and verbally hostile environment. I felt publicly humiliated, disrespected, and subjected to aggressive and demeaning treatment. The way I was spoken to and treated caused me significant emotional distress. A customer should never feel attacked or intimidated when attempting to communicate a concern and find a reasonable solution. I want to make it clear that I was not trying to avoid payment. I was attempting to handle the situation fairly by paying for the service while addressing the fact that the braids were excessively tight and uncomfortable. Instead of receiving understanding and professional customer service, I experienced hostility and a lack of respect. Because of this experience, I will never return to Fofana Express Hair. Customers deserve to be listened to, respected, and treated professionally, especially when bringing forward a legitimate concern. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite, and I cannot recommend this salon.

I have patronized this business for years, driving 3 hrs., recommended and referred family members as well. My last experience was very disappointing and when I contacted the owner, she read the message and never replied. My hair was done sloppy and poor technique. My hair was done 1 week ago and almost all of my back has come out.

So i came in for braided boho french curl bob I asked for CHIN length! while in the chair i asked for my braids to stop at my chin. I asked this because i noticed the braids were stopping at my nose, cheekbone, eyes and some even my forehead. Only 1 row was braided to my chin. Again i asked for the hair to be braided to the chin for the chin length bob. the curly pieces are the boho pieces per my picture. When my hair style was done my hair was NOT what i requested so i began to finish the braids myself. I was told my hair couldn’t be braided to the end bc it was cut. However, the hair was supposed to be braided to the chin. There’s no reason why the braids were not braided to the chin. They were irritated with me because they didn’t do what i asked for. I was at the shop from 9:30-5:30 one person worked on my head. I still do not understand why my hair couldn’t be braided to the chin per photo & per verbal request. They just threw the braids in my head & told me to like it. It is diabolical to leave so much freetress synthetic hair out. I’ve have french curl before braided to end/requested length They just threw the braids in my head & didn’t want to fix it. It all seem very lazy because why couldn’t the hair be braided to the chin. The braids are extremely tight & the style hurt extremely bad & i couldn’t go to sleep 2 stars because its a nice shop the ladies are friendly the energy is good… just don’t request anything specific many clients received long box braid, they looked nice & we’re out the shop within 4/5 hours chin length boho bob 8hrs *even tho the hair wasn’t braided to the chin* UPDATE: another salon did the style just fine also note i came in with 25% of my hair braided(the back) i started my head but did not finish so why it took 8hr so small chin length braids unsure i was told price 200 i was give 20 off i called back for refund because i had to get my hair rebraided they refused save your time & money photos below
