TLDR: If you are looking to grab something in K-Town that is fast/filling, E-Mo is a solid choice. Spicy tuna and if you can handle the spice, spicy chicken. This little shop has been around for awhile. I was in a rush and needed something filling that I could have quickly. What better than gimbap. Arguably quicker than the line at Woorijip. Got the spicy tuna and spicy chicken. Spicy tuna had a nice ratio and crunch with the veggies. Spicy chicken was definitely on the hotter side but enjoyable enough. Grabbed a corn tea to wash it all down. A decent choice if you're in the area but on the pricier side and cash only.

I love this place and I’ve been coming here since the old grandma used to make the kimbap. This was one of the most authentic kimpabs spots in whole NYC. Nowadays the kimbap has lost its taste. The grandma always used fresh rice, served it with some miso soup. I think it costs much to serve it with some soup or kimchi, since you have more customers now. I have never seen Koreans serve kimpab without side salad or a soup. I came here twice around lunchtime on two different weeks, and both times the rice was very old and hard, to the point that I had bad stomachaches. I wish you guys put more effort into making the kimbap and use fresh rice. The rice I had felt like it was cooked at least 5-6 hours earlier, even though I came at 12 pm. I used to eat 2 kimpabs, but couldn’t even eat half of it anymore. I understand kimpab rice takes time to make but still it is not enjoyable now. Please make it from fresher rice. Thank You!
