I'll be back. Extensive menu with something for everyone. There are three general seating areas that provide three different dining environments: large circular bar in the front, typical table seating in the main area, and limited outdoor patio seating. The bar drink menu, available throughout, includes a large selection of imaginative beach cocktails. I needed a dose of comfort food and Mama's delivered; in a big way. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes with vegetables was my choice and I wasn't disappointed. Huge portions that completely overmatched my appetite. Dessert was handscooped Thrifty's brand ice cream. Lastly, the level of service and hospitality was consistently a 10/10; on par with a fine dining restaurant. 2 additional thoughts: A. The front entrance is basically an unmarked, single door facing the parking lot. Look for the 'Thrifty' signs. 2. Four stars is "Really Good". Five stars is exceptional.

I came out here with my brother to grab some lunch while we were hanging out in Huntington beach. We came slightly after lunch and it was super chill inside, definitely came during a slower hour. The food was killer with huge portions and really delicious. I'm a sucker for a chicken fried steak, but this place as a chicken fried prime rib which was really different but delicious. Vibes inside are cool with some different photos of patrons and signed sports jerseys. Great place come check it out

This was my first visit to Mamas. I was there because the owner graciously offered the back dining room for registration for an event I was volunteering time to. When I saw the dishes being delivered to tables, I knew I wanted take-out for dinner. I ordered burgers, zucchini fries and a salad. The server was delightful; he offered to pack the burgers in seperate boxes and bags, so the hot stuff stayed hot, and the burger toppings and salad stayed cold. The atmosphere is fun, with great energy. I will note that the food was a bit expensive, but I guess all food near a beach in California is about the same now. Overall, I highly recommend Mamas for a date night, fun night out with friends, or an event that requires a bit more room and friendly, attentive staff.
