in the last weekI wasn’t sure at first, but wow was this place good! The soul rolls were fantastic. The Carolina style pulled pork was really good. But not what I expected. I am used to the outer banks version of Carolina style bbq. This was sweeter but still delicious. I highly recommend!!!

in the last weekordered soul rolls, collard greens, green beans, blackened pork chop, fried chicken, ribs, mash potatoes, home fries, fried catfish. corn bread. .......green beans clearly came from a can and tasted like it. collard Greens had no flavor, soul rolls were covered in some kind of mustard flavor sauce, couldn't tell how it really tasted cause all I tasted was mustard. catfish was extremely fishy. I understand catfish is a fishy tasting fish but maybe it wasn't fresh, I could do better at home. ribs were ok. blackened porkchops were good. cornbread was good. fried chicken was PWI community college cafeteria average. mash potatoes tasted like box with extra water to stretch servings and no flavor. Very disappointed, Jerry was an awesome server. atmosphere was cool.

in the last weekMerts was a great first time experience for my brother and I. I originally thought why go to a Soul food based restaurant when we have that at home. However, when my mother took us we experienced cornbread like never before, to the point that my brother and I liked cornbread even though we had previously never cared for it. What made the environment even more enticing was our waiter, Deondre. He ensured we got our cornbread hot and looked out for our table! We really appreciate the dedication he showed us as it felt like family. Overall, definitely will be returning!
