Courtyard by Marriott San Mateo Foster City

Their 3-star rooms are spacious and comfortable, offering a better standard than a 3-star.

Stayed just one night and this is a standard older design courtyard marriott with the proper courtyard which is sometimes nice change up from the modern more generic styling. Rooms however were up to date and comfortable. Probably my biggest complaint would be they have 1 elevator at the very back right of the hotel and then our room was back left and we had quite a few bags. I wish I'd simply driven all by bags around to the back corner and carried them up after checking in and getting keys but we had already committed once i really realized. Nice work out facility as many of them seem to have now. All around a great location both close to the airport but not so close and near some great places like San Carlos and Redwood City for food and drinks.

I usually try to stay at this hotel whenever I’m in the area, which made this stay especially disappointing. I arrived late after a flight and paid over $400 for the only room available, an accessible queen room. Despite being told the hotel was recently renovated, the mattress was extremely worn out with noticeable dips, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. The bathroom was also unacceptable — it smelled like urine, and the shower did not appear clean, so I didn’t even use it. Since the hotel was sold out, there was no option to move rooms. The manager only took about $70 off the bill, meaning I still paid well over $300 for a room where I couldn’t sleep comfortably or shower. Very disappointing, especially since my previous stays here had always been positive.

We stayed there for one night during our honeymoon. We had a great time at the bar with Stevenson. Hope he remembers us from Korea haha. He was so kind and knew how to make guests happy. It was one of the great memories in America. We would like to visit again next time! Sorry that we leave a review too late!
