a week agoMy 8 year old son insisted that I write a positive review of the Doghouse on El Camino in Belmont. He especially wanted me to shout out our cashier named Diego. He treated my son very nicely. The overall experience was good. Service was a little slow, but we visited at a busy time, so it was understandable. I recommend this establishment. The Dog recipes are creative and delicious. The corn dog my younger son had was not very good. Stay away from that one.

2 weeks agoThe patty? Delicious. The structural integrity? Nonexistent. Whoever decided to skip the lettuce — that humble, leafy moisture barrier between meat and bun — clearly didn't think through the consequences. Without it, every drop of juice migrated south, transforming the bottom bun into a full-on soggy bottom situation. What started as a burger ended as a crime scene, completely unburdened by any semblance of robustness, forcing me to eat the whole thing with a fork like some kind of animal. A sad, forkful animal.
