Aruffo’s Italian Cuisine

After speaking to Valerie Aruffo, who is the owner of Aruffo's. I've decided to post this review. The entire experience was sub par, even after acknowledging that there were issues with the food and service the owner (who has no customer service skills whatsoever) told me that my complaints were illegitimate and I was “speaking nonsense”. Yes that actually happened. From the beginning the meal and service were absolutely terrible. The ice in our cocktails had melted by the time they made it to our table. The pasta sauce looked as though it had been watered down to stretch the contents a few more servings, and the server would disappear for up to 15 minutes at a time. No refills, horrible service, And dishes were unacceptable. Dirty cutlery. The date of this experience was May 12, 2019. I made 4 attempts to reach the manager, with no call back. So I decided to dispute the charges with my credit cards company. Well Valerie responded to that! Her claim was that the experience was top notch including food and service. Her response was dated 6/27/19. She then called me this morning 8/13/19 and we had a Conversation about the experience where she denied that any of this was possible at her restaurant. I would not return for a free meal, and definitely would not recommend Aruffo's. Not at all! Valerie, you should really read some of your reviews, even your regulars had a bad experience that same day I did!!! Same complaints, but again, this isn't possible at your restaurant. Right?

Meatless pasta dishes go over $36, and don’t taste as good as other places that are half as expensive. Dining room looked nice but bad acoustics.

Love it. Pricey but the food is worth it.

A friend took me out to Aruffo's for dinner to celebrate my birthday! The staff were friendly and worked to make sure we had everything we wanted so that our experince was enoyable. We split a salad, enjoyed freshly baked bread, raviolis and lasagna. My mouth is watering just thinking about the scrumptious meal. We both had letovers for the next day. Then, the desert tray was brought out. It was so hard to pick just one as each was tempting. Since it was my birthday I got to pick which desert we would share, I chose the chocolate mouse pie. The server came back with the pie and a sundae glass full of spumoni ice cream, which was adorned with a cookie, whipped cream and a lit sparkler. I was serenaded by my friend as he sang Happy Birthday to me! Both deserts were amazing! What a phenomenal birthday!
