a month agoIt was clean but didn't like enough to go again for a $30 entry fee. They had turned a sauna room into a room with exercise equipment that no one was using. It was just underwhelming in my opinion. The highlight was laying on a bed of what seemed like little clay balls. That was more comfortable and relaxing than expected.

a month agoI’m leaving this review to share my honest experience. The sauna feels quite old and, unfortunately, not very clean — at least based on the interior condition. The surfaces inside give the impression that the facility is not well maintained. I wasn’t able to take photos, which is understandable since people are usually unclothed in these areas. However, if you compare the current condition of the sauna to the photos posted on the Gangnam Sauna Google profile, it feels like two completely different places. I chose to visit specifically because of those photos. I went there with my wife expecting a relaxing experience, but we left very quickly because we simply felt uncomfortable staying there. I understand that everyone has different tastes and expectations, but when you compare this place to other saunas or even facilities like Life Time Fitness, it’s clear that this sauna requires more regular maintenance and upkeep. I do want to mention that the staff at the front desk was polite and welcoming, and I have no complaints about them at all. One thing I personally didn’t like — and this is most likely my own oversight, as it may be a common practice at saunas — is that they keep your ID at the front desk and only return it when you leave. This wasn’t clearly mentioned anywhere beforehand, and I hadn’t seen it discussed in other reviews, so I wanted to point it out here in case this is something others would want to know in advance.

a month agoI came in on a Friday night a few weeks ago with my 2 sons. We'd been to Jeju a few times and they always loved it, having a snack at the food bar and enjoying the saunas. The men's side was a little crowded, but it was cold out and I expected it to be busy. I opted for a body scrub while my boys hung out in the hot tubs and sauna. My younger son seemed to love the salt room best and spent a long time in there, even though to me it looked like it was wall-to-wall standing room only with a group of African American men. I even dozed off a bit myself while getting the body scrub. In any case, we all enjoyed ourselves, and my boys want to go back. Plus, at the price you can't beat a good way to spend a chilly evening.
