In Lawrence, Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant offers a comforting taste of home with dishes that go beyond just the famous beef patties. The menu features flavorful jerk pork, curry goat, ackee and salt fish, and even macaroni pie, all prepared with evident care and authentic seasoning. Diners often describe the experience as reminiscent of home-cooked meals, highlighting the freshness and warmth of the food. 2 months agoWe went there today and from the unhappy look on the servers face we shouldn’t have bothered to order. I mean even speaking seemed to be difficult. The curry goat looked stale. We decided to get the liver which was rank. Couldn’t stomach the smell much less the taste. Then there was the fried chicken. So stale that I almost broke a tooth. The fried dumpling was as old as the land before time. I admit that the curry cow foot was good. We had it with potatoes and boiled banana. Not sure if it’s because we went before noon that all the food was old but we won’t be going back.
