3 years agoTHE WORST POSSIBLE NIGHTMARE -- THEY DON'T DESERVE A SINGLE STAR. We are sharing our experience today so that no one else will be stuck in the same situation and suffer like us! And for all residents of the building, please beware and be prepared!!! We live on the 11th floor (the highest level of our building) and early August 2018, a structural component above our ceiling broke and flooded our apartment. (please see photos attached below: these photos only show the remaining 20% of the water pouring down because we had pushed most of it out the balcony to prevent further damage). After the flood we were forced out of our unit because it was no longer livable as they had to replace everything and things started to smell mouldy. We had to rent another place to live in the mean time… they refused to provide us with any accommodations (even on the night of the incident) although it was the fault of their building structure. On top of that, the months that we were living elsewhere waiting for our apartment to be repaired, they still made us pay maintenance fees of $585 PER month. (Side note: We moved early 2016 and the maintenance money went up 25% after one year and is still significantly rising annually) Management was unhelpful, unreliable and irresponsible throughout the whole process of our repairs. We did not get regular updates and did not receive proper responses when trying to follow up with them. We also tried to seek out the help of our board members and they were no where to be found, we were told the only time we could speak to them was at an annual board meeting and could have no contact with them in any form, HOW RIDICULOUS. Repairs did not start until late November and finished Mid December 2018 and were not even done properly. Additionally, management refused to provide us with the CAUSE of the flood and PROOF OF REPAIRS that has been done. We moved back into the unit after we were told the repairs were done in December 2018 but shortly after we had to move out again because things that were supposedly repaired fell apart or not properly done. When coming to see management about our issues, we were not taken seriously.. She even uncontrollably and continuously LAUGHED in our face about our situation. We are so fed up with the building to the point where we considered taking legal actions but are unable to afford it. We don't know who we should consult and what to do about this matter because evidently all people that are supposed to be helpful in these times (ie. management and board members) are of no help to us these past 5 months. If anyone has any suggestions and advice, we would be very grateful.

3 years agoGreat location. Close to grocery stores, hospital, shopping malls, gas stations, Yorkdale mall, and subway station. Minutes to highway 401. Great restaurants near by. Pet friendly with respectful guidelines. Neighborhood in the building is pretty good. The demographics are a mix of families, singles and couples that range all ages. Everyone is friendly for the most part. Security is great and attentive. Property management team is great and very helpful with any questions or concerns. There is limited guest parking on 3rd floor building parking, but still a decent amount. I've been living in this building for 6 months now and am really happy with my decision. I like the area and building overall. The onsite gym is good. Not like a GoodLife or Wynn fitness but has all the basic machines, and weights to get the job done. Building also has a theater, party room, and bbq terrace to rent out. A little note I will add is that my unit (balcony faces south) gets sunshine during the day time which is a huge bonus. The building does back onto the highway but I have not had any issues with noise during the evening. The building is about 10 years old so it does have some wear and tear as expected, but the property management team is super helpful and easy to work with fixing these minor fixes. Would recommend that if you are looking for a unit and happen to come across one for sale or for rent in this building, definitely consider jumping on it!
