a month agoYesterday, on December 31st,2025, I visited the James Avery store at Stonebriar Mall for the first time because I needed my ring finger sized. I was genuinely excited, as this was my first experience and something meaningful to me. Unfortunately, the experience felt racially biased and deeply disappointing. When I entered the store, there were two employees present. Neither acknowledged or greeted me, despite me browsing for some time. One employee stared at me for an extended period without saying anything. Shortly after, a white male customer entered the store and was immediately greeted and assisted, along with any other non-black customer that walked in. Eventually, a third employee asked if I had been helped. I said no and explained that I just needed my ring finger sized. She handed me a sizing tool, told me I could keep it, and walked away without providing any guidance or explanation on how to properly determine the correct size. As a customer who had never had a ring sized before, the lack of care, attention, and basic customer service felt dismissive and inconsistent with how others were treated. This experience came across as racial bias, whether intentional or not. No customer should feel ignored, stared at, or brushed off while watching others receive immediate and attentive service. I was looking forward to making a very big purchase, but I will be taking my money elsewhere. I hope James Avery takes this seriously and addresses issues of racial sensitivity and equal treatment within this location. this is not an isolated incident. after reading other reviews describing poor customer service and experiences of racism, it’s clear this is a recurring problem. i expect this to be taken seriously and for something to be done to address it.

a month agoI had a very disappointing experience at James Avery due to the behavior of a sales associate named Michelle. When I entered the store, she refused to assist me and made me feel completely unwelcome. Instead of helping, she spoke about me to other sales associates, which was unprofessional and uncomfortable. Customer service is a huge part of the James Avery brand, and this experience fell far below expectations. I have since filed a complaint with corporate because no customer should be treated this way. Michelle’s behavior was unprofessional, and based on this experience, she should not be working in a customer-facing role. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures better training and accountability moving forward.

2 months agoThe least friendliest and welcoming crew did I have ever experienced in a jewelry store. No greeting upon entry had to ask someone to help me because I knew what I wanted already and was looking to purchase it... very little interaction or response. I walked in with a good mood and left in a much worse mood. Wish there was a different jewelry store I could have gone to to get this product.
