in the last weekDeviled eggs were amazing. Mussels and calamari good. Fish and chips good. Green goddess salad with lobster... I'm convinced mine had no dressing. Asked for it on the side and it was better. Nice big portion of lobster for $16.

a week agoHad lunch here, service was great. Highly disappointed in the crab cake sandwich I do not recommend it. Also ordered lobster roll which we had to send back. It was terrible. Sadly I will not be back for lunch

2 weeks agoIf you're in Cape May, you have to check out the Blue Pig Tavern at Congress Hall. Sitting outside on the patio was a great experience, and the staff took amazing care of us. Highly recommend!

2 weeks agoThe Blue Pig Tavern was an exceptional dining experience through and through, from the atmosphere of the vast and historic Congress Hall being its mainstay, to the eclectic experience of exploring the halls and different rooms, all with their own uniquely preserved aesthetic. The fried calamari is second to none, and even the bread with the honey butter was a great starter, provided 'on the house.' If you like your clam chowder thick (the way its supposed to be), definitely try a cup of their NE Clam Chowder. The Braxxon cocktail (vodka) was splendid and gave a rush of flavor from the watermelon to the fresh basil, you can tell they enjoy making fun fancy drinks. For the entrees, you can't go wrong with the braised short rib with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everything felt so farm-to-table fresh and the meat literally melted in your mouth. 10 out of 10! My wife ordered the scallops which were absolutely perfect. The shitake mushrooms and bacon lardon really enhanced the flavor of the whole dish. The green beans were delicious as well. Service was courteous and attentive from the hostess desk to our server Jared who was on top of everything from refilling water to checking in on quality. He was awesome! Taking some time to walk the grounds before or after your meal is a MUST! Congress Hall is such a draw and has an amazing energy from the interior design and historic charm to the beautiful outdoor courtyard just steps from the beach.
