Hello, I'm replying to this comment from a few months ago because, clearly, the problem hasn't changed. I bought two doughnuts (pistachio and chocolate), drawn in—like many others—by your ultra-polished marketing where the filling overflows everywhere, in full-on food porn style. And the reality? The doughnuts are practically empty inside. From the outside, they overflow slightly, creating an illusion. Once opened: almost nothing. At €4.90 per doughnut, the discrepancy between what you show on social media and what you sell in the shop is frankly hard to swallow. We're not talking about a minor detail, but the very core of the product. The marketing is enticing, yes. The actual product, much less so. At some point, you either adjust the marketing message or adjust the filling—but continuing to sell a dream when reality doesn't live up to it is bound to disappoint. It's a shame, but at The French Bastards, the storefront and Instagram are clearly more generous than the product itself.

For a snack break, I had the vanilla flan, which was good—a nice crust and a creamy center. Very nice. My only complaint is that the espresso was served in a cardboard cup; a proper mug would have been much nicer. I don't think I'll go back because of that. Otherwise, a great place.
