The Waylon is a fantastic bar in New York City that offers a spirited homage to the Green Bay Packers. Known for its lively game day atmosphere, the venue features an inviting back patio that provides extra space when the weather permits. Fans love the authentic Wisconsin tailgate feel, complete with popular staples like cheese curds and well-crafted Bloody Marys.
With attentive bartenders and a friendly crowd, The Waylon is the perfect place to enjoy Packers games or unwind with drinks in a spacious, relaxed setting. While the food gets mixed reviews, the vibrant ambiance and game day specials truly make this spot stand out for sports enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.

2 weeks agoOn a Saturday evening while walking around New York, we heard live music coming from this bar and decided to stop by and enjoy it for a while. Just before we noticed the place, we had bought a lemonade from a nearby store. We entered the bar holding the cup, and within seconds an employee aggressively approached us and informed us that outside drinks were not allowed. We politely explained that we were about to finish the lemonade and then planned to order drinks from the bar. Instead of responding professionally, he rudely told us that if we wanted to stay, we had to throw the drink away immediately — otherwise, we had to LEAVE THE BAR. The employee’s attitude was absolutely unacceptable. There is a huge difference between informing customers about a policy and treating people with disrespect. The way we were spoken to was rude, hostile, and completely unnecessary. We were clearly interested in staying, listening to the live music, and spending money at the bar, but apparently basic courtesy toward potential customers is not something this place values. Seriously — should someone with this kind of attitude even be working with customers? The behavior was embarrassing and unprofessional. A little patience and politeness would have been enough. We would have finished the lemonade in a moment and gladly ordered from the bar afterward. Terrible service, terrible attitude, and an awful first impression. I definitely DO NOT recommend this place.
