This hike was honestly so beautiful. The trail itself is really peaceful and surrounded by nature the whole way, which made it super enjoyable even without finishing the entire hike. We didn’t realize ahead of time that it’s about 8 miles round trip, so that definitely caught us off guard. We ended up hiking around 5 miles and still had a great time. Definitely bring snacks and lots of water because it’s a longer hike than it looks. Overall, such a gorgeous spot and totally worth checking out if you like hiking and being outdoors.

Road to the falls is kinda dangerous, mostly one lane. Had a truck coming around a blind curve going way to fast almost ran us off the rd.

Not for those with mobility or balance issues as there are plenty of areas with narrow paths and/or large rocks and boulders to climb. However, this has been my favorite middle TN hike so far, with a rewarding 110 foot waterfall at the mid-point. You will burn a lot of calories and will need plenty of water (at least a liter per person), so come prepared. With a relaxing lunch break and stops for photos, it took us just over 5 hours to do 9.3 miles.
