Waitress dropped my tray knocking into my cup and sunglasses as it slid to me. Not sure what I did but another customer commented “I liked the way she flung your tray to you”

I've only had the burger, twice. It's excellent. I think about it often and will probably make it a regular stop on my weekend routine for $5. It's essentially a Burger King Whopper, but higher quality and a few bucks cheaper; simply better. Great for a quick lunch. I'll have to try out the rest of the menu soon. I'm confident it's all good judging by the burger alone. If you had a choice between fast food, go to Frugals instead. I don't feel like garbage after eating here (in fact I feel pretty good) and the price is very Frugal.

Frugals was a mixed bag. Some really good. Some pretty good. But nothing bad. Was looking for something relatively cheap and quick. On those points this place knocked it out of the park! Got about everything I could minus a burger (which is the star item here) but they looked amazing on other peoples tables and I will 100% be going back to try my own. What did I have...all of it! Started with the fried halibut sandwhich. Loaded with fresh veggies and a house tartar sauce that they also give an extra side of and you will want it. Now lets be real they aren't in the kitchen cutting up halibut protions but for a frozen fish sammich it was really excellent. And with the tartar and some lemon pepper seasoning they really made it their own and brought it to life. Great start. Next up...fries. I am a french fry junkie. These were a solid showing. Nice smaller-medium cut. Came out hot, crisp and salted to perfection. But the better option are the fried cheese curds. Also tried the crispy chicken sammich. Simple with mayo and pickles (aggressive dill pickles, and that is a compliment) moist chicken with a well seasoned crisp exterior and the most insanely soft bun. The low point were the chicken bites (just say nuggets...) and even they were pretty good. Quality chicken even if processed. Good enough that I would get again. From the time I ordered (at the counter, newbie!) to having our server walk the tray to our table was about 8 minutes, fast for sure. The real win here is the price. Built around a concept of quick, hot, good food for the college crowd. They understand the need to be cost conscious. All this food was less than $30. That is less than golden arches prices and much better quality for the cash. I went on a Friday night and the place was a little loud with a younger crowd but it just adds to the vibe. Only note of interest this place is tiny and general seating. I got lucky and found a seat in the front window watching traffic and the downtown crowd stroll by. But don't walk out if it seems packed. They staff are pros and move people through pretty quickly...and it is worth the wait. For an old guy like myself I will hit it for lunch on my next burger run to Frugals. Definitely worth taking a chance on.
