in the last weekFantastic food. Fantastic value. The chef and staff are super attentive and every dish is wonderful. Tonight we had a wonderful time, just like always. Thank you for the care! And for keeping your beautiful corner where it feels more like a lovely community going! And we love the piano.

in the last weekWe love Laperaux! We went last night for dinner and it was our 5th visit overall. We have dined for lunch and dinner. Every visit is fantastic. We are always impressed and raving to friends and family about how good and delicious the food is. Chef Gregory is amazing and very deserving of the awards he has won. Every visit he has greeted us, thanked us for coming out, and most times has come over to our table and engaged in friendly conversation. My favorite dish there is anything duck. Whether breast or leg, it’s always a chefs kiss. My wife’s favorite is the beef bourguignon. Keep up the incredible work, Chef and we’ll see you again soon for visit 6 and beyond!

in the last weekWe tried Laperaux for the first time as something new for my Wife's birthday. We drove about 40 minutes from the Frederick area and were not disappointed. I got the octopus as my starter it was superb; it's something I always like to try when it's available and this was one of the best I've had! The steak frite was also wonderful. It was perfectly cooked to my preference (med-rare) and the fries were great. My wife got the onion soup and beef bourgeon and she loved both. Service was friendly and attentive. On our way out, Chef Gregory asked us how our meals were and and we could tell how passionate he is from watching him in the kitchen as we ate. We will be back!

a week agoDisappointed with our experience tonight. Arrival 6:30. Not busy. Waited 10 minutes for greeting & water. Then waited again for wine service. $85 Sancerre. She placed wine bottle on table, 3 glasses with water spots, did not open or pour at table. Ordered green salad & beet salad. Had to ask for serving forks. After waiting 30 + minutes, she cleared plates & silverware. No refill of water. No checking back. Was there a manager on duty? Entrees arrived, no silverware on our table! Sea Bass, Coquilles, Duck. Food was good, not superb which was expected as priced $34, $29, &27, portioned nicely but no exceptional ingredients. My fish didn’t have vegetables. Crème Brûlée was delicious, but after 2 painful slow hours were wanted to leave. 20% auto added gratuity was undeserved. Train your staff! Train Hedy! Oh, and the piano playing constantly loud & overbearing for a room with all hard surfaces was painful. Might I suggest a rug beneath piano or curtains or something to absorb sound. Total check $276.42. Sadly, we will Not be returning. Order:1971. Table 22 ~ Lisa

3 weeks agoI'm one to never complain or write reviews on restaurants, but just had my worst experience ever at a place we have previously enjoyed numerous times. Service was extremely slow and two of my kids' meals got delivered to the wrong table and after waiting over 1.5 hours for our main dishes were told that they were out of the food they ordered. Not even that busy in the place but they have too many hands on deck running food and not keeping track of where they should be going. Three other tables got sat, fed and left before we even got our check. The did reduce some of the check but the overall displeasure I have has me angered for someone who otherwise doesn't let things like this bother me. Will 100% rethink ever visiting Laperaux in the future. In total our reservation was at 6:45pm and we didn't pay our check until 9:17pm. (2.5 hours for half our food!)
