in the last weekAmbiance and live music were great, We went as a party of four, got an appetizer a few drinks and four different entrees ranging from fish to chicken and steak, finished the night with two separate desserts. Every single item we had was absolutely top notch, the flavors were so varied and layered and cooked perfectly. We "pregamed" for our visit by watching the bon appetite video featuring this restaurant and it gave great insight into their process. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. It has to be one of the best restaurants on big island. Can not speak highly enough about this place.

a week agoIt took a long time to be greeted by a server once seated. Maybe 10-15 minutes? Ono and ribeye were overcooked. Entire pieces of pork in the tinono were just fat. Maybe this is normal (?), but it was a surprise to grab multiple pieces mixed in like that. The style of food was more upscale casual than fine dining. It took 25 minutes to have plates cleared and get a bill after dining. The restaurant was winding down, but our server had a bunch of other tables he was still attending to. They seemed short on staff.
