in the last weekThis was our first time here and it definitely won’t be the last. The food was amazing and I am not easily won over. The best part about the food was I didn’t have to season it. No salt, no pepper, no hot sauce. Your food arrives already delicious so if you go there, please taste before you alter it. We had four different sides, all of them were great. The fish and oxtail were better than great and you must have the housemade tartar sauce. I can keep going but I won’t. You just need to go and try for yourself before they move because I can see this place in a bigger location by 2027.

a week agoPeaceful Palace has a relaxed, college-friendly atmosphere with plenty of seating, pleasant music, and lots of TVs, making it a comfortable place to hang out and watch something while you dine. The space was clean in appearance and felt more geared toward college students and young adults. Not a kid friendly menu. The staff was friendly, patient, and helpful while we placed our order, and the food came out quickly, which was appreciated. We ordered the fried whiting combo with yams and collards, a side of red beans and rice, and honey BBQ wings. The fish had a nice crispy outside and good seasoning, though the inside texture was mushier than expected. The yams were very sweet and syrup-heavy, the collards were decent, the wings had good sauce flavor but were extremely tough, and the red beans and rice were dry with rice that seemed slightly undercooked. Overall, while the atmosphere, cleanliness, and service were positives, the quality of the food for the cost felt like a slight miss since we didn’t enjoy over half of our meal. Because of that, we’d likely pass on a future visit.
