in the last weekMy wife and I celebrated New Year's Eve at Ritual House. It was nothing short of fantastic. We shared the ratatouille flatbread...a mix of diced, seasonal vegetables scattered on a pesto smeared flatbread then covered with arugula and shaved parmesan cheese and drizzled with a perfect vinegrette. For entreés, I opted for the signature short ribs over grits. The short rib was perfectly cooked to a melt-in-your-mourh tenderness and who can say anything bad about grits covered in short rib sauce!!! My wife had the crab cakes which had little "filler" and plenty of jumbo lump crab meat. So good that she refused to share! We shared the strawberry pretzel salad for dessert...an edible, spectacular and delicious work of art!! HOW that is made will forever remain a question in my mind. I am a hardcore "foodie" and have dined at PLENTY of restaurants in Pittsburgh and Ritual House is definitely in the top five (top three in my wife's opinion) of all of them! Our server, Nina, also deserves a shout out in assisting to make a memorable New Year's Eve! Ritual House is a true culinary delight!! Thanks to all who make that happen...see you again...soon.
