a week agoWhen this place first opened, the hot chicken was absolutely killer—fresh, piping hot, crispy, and full of flavor. We were hooked and couldn’t wait to go back. Unfortunately, the last two visits have been a huge letdown. The chicken was mediocre at best: soggy breading, barely warm, and the seasoning tasted off or watered down. Sides were forgettable too. It’s really disappointing to see such a sharp drop in quality after such a strong start. We loved this spot and wanted to keep supporting it, but at this point it doesn’t feel worth the trip anymore. Sad to say, but I can’t recommend it right now. Hope they get back to their original standards.

2 weeks agoSuch a pleasant dinner experience. The menu had good variety, and the food was well-made and nicely presented. The server was kind and helpful with recommendations. We left happy and satisfied.

4 weeks agoStopped in on a weekend evening a few weeks ago, was happy with how cute it is. Got a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit. It was good except for the overdone biscuits. With that being a staple sort of thing in southern cuisine and it not being overly busy, that was rather disappointing. The breakfast potatoes as a side were delicious though. Service was fine though waters weren’t refilled. I’d give it another chance.

a month agoBiscuits, smothered chicken, okra, and Mac and cheese! Delicious! The chicken was buttermilk fried with a thick peppered gravy, not watery runny. The okra was delicious. I'm not a huge fan of Mac and cheese but it was recommended and it was creamy and good. Steve was fantastic! I came in around 430 on a Wednesday and was the only person in the restaurant, but Steve made it a great experience with great food! Got some pecan pie to go for later!
