in the last weekI came here for the first time yesterday and found the place very large. (Too large?) In my opinion, when it's packed or if they're hosting an event, the atmosphere must be fantastic! The restrooms are clean. I had a white flat (just to try it) and it was good. The service at the register and at the table was friendly. In any case, if I'm looking for another coffee spot in Lille, I'll definitely be back! Thanks!

a week agoI went to Wally's after a few years away (I was there when the first café opened). I was surprised to see that it's nothing like the experience I had before. The place isn't as welcoming anymore (walking past the window, you wonder if it was still a coffee shop with clothes lying around everywhere...). The staff weren't very friendly either. At 5:10 pm, we were told the café would close in 20 minutes, even though Maps and Instagram said 6 pm, which was rather inconvenient because we were quickly asked to leave (we arrived at 4:30 pm). The place seemed very empty, large but with few tables. We had a view of the kitchen, which was nice, but also of the storage area and cables behind it, which I found very neglected. The menu was very limited, and it didn't have the specialty coffee feel they promote on social media. I ordered a "chocahuete" (peanut chocolate) like the people I was with, but mine was nothing like theirs (it was practically just a regular hot chocolate). From what I've seen over the years, they've changed their art direction and concept so much that I think they're a bit lost and people aren't following anymore. It's a shame because the place used to be really great; I hope it can rise from the ashes!

2 weeks agoGreat place! Good coffee, there’s food as well. Can’t tell from outside but place is very big so plenty of space for everyone, also got a kids room with toys and books. Perfect
