2 months agoI had a very concerning experience with Dr. Swathi and cannot recommend her services. My girlfriend visited Dr. Swathi, who examined one of her teeth and recommended a crown. The following week, another dentist within the same practice examined the same tooth and said a root canal was necessary instead and that we could not proceed with the crown as originally planned. This dentist specifically questioned why a crown had been recommended for that tooth in the first place. My girlfriend was in pain for an entire week during this time. We ultimately had to seek treatment at a specialist dentist office where the root canal was performed. Additionally, for a different tooth, Dr. Swathi suggested that if a crown didn't work, we should then do a root canal. This backwards approach concerned us greatly. More troubling, Dr. Swathi had not even identified this other tooth as needing treatment at all - it was only discovered by the specialist root canal office that this tooth required attention. The experience of having two doctors in the same office give completely contradictory assessments - with my girlfriend suffering in pain for a week and needing to seek specialist care elsewhere - has left us with serious concerns about the quality of diagnostic care. I would strongly advise seeking a second opinion before proceeding with any treatment.
