1 year agoAfter doing some research, I took a gamble and went out to Arlington Park. It's not crowded and extremely nice. There is a nice boardwalk to get to the pier area and lots of views, especially if you're a photographer. The water is very shallow, and I had zero luck . I fished for a few hours, hoping for any hits at all. It never happened. Maybe when the tide is higher, the fishing improves. Good luck if you fish out here. It's pretty comfortable and a nice area . It is south of I10, so you would need a saltwater fishing license. The views are beautiful even if your fishing is less than great. The attached pictures show the sunrises.

3 years agoNice park for fishing. This park has restrooms & some type of ticket kiosk near the restrooms. I am not sure if the ticket kiosk is for the WAVE Mobile City Bus Transit or for fishing licenses. There are a few shaded pavilions, some with electric plug ins and water faucets. It is right next to The US Coast Guard Station, you can watch the helicopters take off & land. There was a girl walking laps at the park. There is no playground at this park. I was here walking my dog. There are alligators in the water, I would not let your dog swim. There is one or two small piers you can moor a boat up to, like a canoe or kayak, small boat with an engine, does not look big enough to accommodate a large boat, looks like there are a few obstructions, namely logs & gators, looks shallow, it's in the wetlands.

5 months agoBeautiful little salt marsh estuary just a short jaunt from downtown Mobile. Exactly the kind of waterfront views I was hoping for but could not locate directly downtown. Definitely come here for an escape into a peaceful marine setting teeming with wildlife.

5 years agoThis is an absolutely beautiful park. Great place to take the dogs for a walk or even just to go walk by yourself. You can fish off the dock or even have a barbeque in one of the pavilions. The view of the bay is absolutely amazing. This is one of my favorite places in Mobile Alabama.
