5 months agoThis is a very popular spot and that means you may have problems finding parking. Also be prepared to step in fresh road apples as this is a popular trail for horses.

7 months agoPicturesque primitive equine camp featuring 6 sturdy metal "quad" pens, 12 metal tie stalls, 2 large common water tanks, couple of cable highlines, 1 primitive outhouse, 1 handicap accessible outhouse & parking on gently sloping grass without shade. Elevation 9170' Abundant mosquitoes late June into early July despite near freezing temperatures at night. Huge very foul-smelling piles of manure right beside each quad pen. I removed 2 full wheelbarrows manure from one pen before putting my horse in it! Another pen had 6 wheelbarrows of manure!!! No cell service in camp. Dogs run freely. Free will donations can be placed in donation post at Trailhead.
