Nice trail to Tonsina point starts here. The trail took about 1:40 without any waits all the way to the beach and back. Very well maintained and no trash or litter at all. Felt safe throughout

The Caines Trail is a pretty easy trail. When I went it was pouring outside, but with rain gear the rain was bearable. This trail features many creeks and beautiful scenery! Perfect for a light hike!

Great trail! I went down to the first beach during a lower tide and it was a beautiful scene. The trail itself is one of the more difficult trails I’ve done recently, but is by no means hard. Expect some wet terrain and elevation change. There was a salmon run going at the end of September when I went which was an experience in itself. Again, very well upkept trail with wooded paths at times, and lots of terrain and erosion prevention measures being utilized. Impressed. Parking cost $5 for the day.

I don’t know what the heck was up with Google maps when we went, but we ended up driving down a private road and then turning around and parking at the bottom of the trail by the beach. Just don’t do that haha. A beautiful hike! Worth every step. Well marked, with some steeper moments. To the bridge is about 1.2 miles, feels a little further than that. The view of the salmon swimming freely in the water is absolutely amazing. Nice and cool amongst the trees so be sure to bring layers.
