Desoto Bluff Trail offers a delightful hiking area experience right in the heart of Arkadelphia. This fully paved path, just under a mile long, is perfect for a short hike suitable for families and beginners. Along the trail, visitors can enjoy historic signage that enriches the walk with local lore and a small amphitheater area ideal for group gatherings.
One of the trail’s standout features is the breathtaking overlook with wooden chairs placed for relaxation and taking in stunning views of the river valley below. While the trail itself is accessible and easy, hikers should exercise caution near the overlook as there are no guard rails. The compact parking area is convenient though limited, so early arrival is recommended. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful nature walk or a spot to unwind, Desoto Bluff Trail is a wonderful gem in Arkadelphia.

3 years agoVery nice walking area with historic signage throughout the pathway. Not very long so great short hike for the little ones . Be careful however as there are no guard rails and someone not paying attention could possibly fall near the overlook. They have chairs near the overlook you can relax and take in the beauty of nature on a nice day. The entryway to the park is small as is the parking . Very few spots but wasn’t no one there when I visited. Look for a small sign to drive into the small parking lot and enjoy .

4 years agoWhat an amazing trail! Fully paved trail, easy, and about 0.8 long. Wonderful views! There are wooden chairs to relax and enjoy the view. The area has a group/picnic side with a large fireplace type of "stove". The is also a small amphitheater area to the side. No restroom.
