Arizona has so much to offer, especially outdoors. Four Peaks is always a great time. This time of year is best when the weather starts to cool down. We did a 60 mile trail round trip in our RZR to the lake. We had lunch and enjoyed the beautiful views.

This is my favorite place to be in Arizona. It just breaks my heart that there's so much trash and litter at the front gate and even from the first trailer drop to the second. The path in is pretty easy even for a sedan. Beautiful views

Beautiful drive. Definitely should have an SUV that has decent clearance. It’s a rough road. There can be snow and ICE at the top in winter. Come prepared. This can be an out and back or point to point trip.

Edit: This review is of The Cactus Forest not Four Peaks Wilderness oops🤣 Technically, camped inside the Cactus Forest. No one around, a variety of birds, lots of different staggered Saguaro that are beaming with personality and skeletons from various cacti. We encountered a juvenile rattler right near the fire pit..... all parties respected one another😉 The trail is pretty narrow, however no issues with our big booty Jeeps. Annnnnd no mosquitoes, flies weren't very bad at all......huge plus! Quiet place all to ourselves, perfect. We camped 'cowboy' style-ish, no tents.
