2 months ago$7 self pay entrance/day use fee. The hiking trails had a lot of incline and the goldmine one was washed out at a pretty steep incline area, so it was pretty challenging to go down. The pictures don't show the most challenging parts, so they may be deceiving...

4 months agoGreat access to San Tan Mountain Regional Park trails with ample parking. The Goldmine Trail is out-and-back, though it connects to other trails and can easily make for loop hikes that vary from 1 to several miles.

3 weeks agoGreat desert hiking. Brought grandma and the 7 year old and both enjoyed themselves. Parking was fairly limited but that may only be for a little while longer. A new looking parking lot was locked behind a gate but maybe this is only for special events? I'm not sure but I would avoid midday next time.

1 year agoThere was no place to pay for the parking, at least I couldn't find it. The trail is easy to moderate, and go early in the morning around 8am to enjoy hiking. There are no restrooms. There is a free parking lot before the main and a much smaller parking lot near the trailhead. The views from the trail are great. So many people came with their dogs.

1 year agoGreat hiking trail and worth the steep climb. There is some construction right now (2024) but there is plenty of trail that is not impacted. Bring water and hiking poles if you are doing Goldmine Trail. There are other short trails that are relatively flat if you want to bring kiddos.
