Loved the hike with my kids along the creek! We released our butterflies at the beginning of the trail. As we were releasing them, a snake fell from the top branches to the bottom right in front of us!!! Big beautiful snake! We also found Toad frogs! Many many toad frogs! The waterfall wasn't flowing, but go after a rain it will be!

We absolutely loved our time here. The views are absolutely beautiful and the trails are very well maintained. We spent close to 2 hours here today and didn't even get to hike every trail. We can't wait to go back in the Spring and Summer and see how it looks then.

Very cute trail (misleading name because I thought there would be copious wildflowers around, but it was sparse and spotty). Easy enough for a three year old to do without complaints. Wear proper hiking attire!! Sketchers sneakers will not cut it!! Wearing the wrong shoes and getting off the path can (and did) cut you up on those picturesque wet rocks!! Bring a buddy, bring your camera, and your water bottle. It was fun and gave us a great workout!

This is the trailhead parking for the "Wildflower Trail.". Rather than talk about a small (6-8 car) gravel parking lot lovingly maintained both by the local residents and the Land Trust, I would much rather talk about the trail itself. The Wildflower Trail is one of the best low intensity trails maintained by The Land Trust. While it is not wheelchair accessible, someone with a cane or with reduced mobility could enjoy the lower most part of this trail very easily. Trail gets its name for the numerous wildflowers that grow along the edges of both Fagan Creek and the trail. These wildflowers start to bloom in early March and continue until late May. Fagan Creek is spring fed year-round by Fagan Spring which is approximately 3/4 of a mile up the trail. Numerous seasonal springs and seeps also flow into the creek. One of the most stunning things is how clear the water is.

I visited on a weekday and had the trails to myself. I did Wildflower to Sink Hole to Alms house to Waterline to Bluff Trail and looped around. It was about four miles. Waterline follows an actual old water line and is straight up the hill. There is a pretty difficult section as well. You really have to watch your feet on this hike as there are so many uneven steps, roots and rocks. After your strenuous hike be sure to stop at the creek before you hit the parking lot and splash some cold spring water in your face!
