3 weeks agoFree parking on the road. No entrance fee. It's a easy & beautiful hike in the caldera! We stayed nearby at jemez Hot Springs & it was phenomenal to come out early morning for a hike in the cold & go relax in the warm hot springs!

3 months agoThis is one of my favorite places in New Mexico. It is a moderate trail, perfect for a family outing. Many places to get beautiful pictures, I have seen many wedding shoots during my visits. Any time I want to escape the city, this is a great day trip from Albuquerque. You pass many wonderful things to stop and see along the way. I cannot recommend visiting this trail enough. I call it my happy place.
