a month agoOnline it says theyre open until 6 but that is not true, they close at 5, and theres a gate. So if you show up after 5 and dont know tge gate code, youre screwed, FYI. Thats why the 4 stars instead of 5. However, staff were nice. Campground is small and a little tightly packed, one bath house for the whole place, and it clearly hasnt been upgraded in a long time. I was there 2 nights and the bathroom and shower was not cleaned either of those days, idk how often they clean. Ive been camp host at other campgrounds and I live fulltime vanlife, where I was host last I cleaned the bathroom and shower twice a day fully, theres no point in showers being dirty. It does look like a good place to fish though, good day use area. Its 8 minutes from UMMC, so if youre there for doctor appointments like I was, or visiting someone in the hospital, you cant get closer than this. They had a half off special during my stay too so it was cheap.

a month agoLeFleur’s Bluff State Park is a great place to relax and enjoy nature right in the middle of Jackson. The park is well-maintained, peaceful, and perfect for walking, biking, or just spending some quiet time outdoors. The trails are easy to follow, and the lake adds a nice scenic touch to the whole experience. I also appreciate how accessible it is, whether you’re looking for a quick escape into nature or a spot for a longer visit, it’s convenient and enjoyable. A solid place to unwind, explore, and appreciate the outdoors. Definitely worth visiting!
