Main paved walk way is less than half a mile one way, walked the length and then around the pond on natural trail and back, .8 of a mile. Probably really nice a few years ago, you can see an old bridge and several other structures off the main path but the tornado messed it up and nothing has been rebuilt. I wouldn't go by yourself.

My dog and I walked a bit on the paved trail today. I felt a a little uneasy about it from the beginning due to all the debris from natural disasters but what I experienced when I decided to turn back was scary. I walk/hike by myself or with my dog often and carry when/where I can and this was odd. A CAR was driving down the walkway right at me. There are blockades so cars can’t get on the walkway so they had to have driven in on side land and removed fences. I kept walking down the pedestrian walkway with my dog. The car did move over and drove on the grass and “waved” at me like they were doing me a favor. They almost ran over my dog. It was two males in the car. The sun was behind me so I could see if any shadows were behind me and there never was but I won’t go there again because I felt unsafe there.

It's a pretty area. You can easily identify the path of a prior tornado (many trees with missing tips). There is an old retention pond at the end of the paved walkway. It doesn't look like the trail has been tended to in several years. It is near a canal lock which can be fun to watch.
