in the last weekLike many others have mentioned, the location is excellent. Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our stay. The staff came across as short and, at times, rude. I understand New York has a fast-paced culture, but basic courtesy should still be expected in hospitality. The room itself was extremely uncomfortable. The windows were very drafty, allowing a significant amount of cold air in, and at night we could hear everything—street traffic, pedestrians, and general city noise. This is not an exaggeration; it made sleeping difficult every night. When I mentioned this at checkout, intending only to bring it to management’s attention, the front desk attendant shifted into blaming and shaming, suggesting it was my fault for not reporting it earlier. While I acknowledge I could have raised the issue sooner, after walking all day we were exhausted and didn’t want the inconvenience of changing rooms or dealing with maintenance late at night. That response felt dismissive and unprofessional. Additionally, both the room and bathroom were in rough condition, showing noticeable wear that did not align with expectations. This review is being shared not out of frustration alone, but in hopes that management addresses these recurring issues. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

in the last weekI feel all warm and fuzzy inside. From the moment I was greeted by M checking in, to the gentleman that greeted me at the elevator roof top bar. Sensational hostess and serveSr. I'm in my element. THE EMPIRE is a VIBE. Don't miss the experience. It's well worth it.

in the last weekPlease read reviews and make the reservation. We stayed here for 4 night - From the day 1 staff is just rude. Morning shift lady and the guy on the desk are super rude. We paid extra to be on the top floor and the pictures were not the same as shown online. Whatever we were fine with it. Day 3 - loud music starts at 10pm from there upstairs restaurant and didn’t stop until 2am. You won’t be able to sleep. I’m not joking. I even had people complaining about the same thing in the elevator. Day 4 - music starts again at 10 or 9pm and DIDN’T stop until 4AM!!!!!! You can hear everything in your room. Seriously, what is this about? What kind of business are you running. I told the lady on the desk about the music, and her reply back is we can’t do anything about that(with an attitude). I’m pregnant, I told them I need to sleep I haven’t slept from last night. She said, I don’t own this place go talk with someone else. Reviews are not lying. There is a management problem. They’re making money from where-ever they can. Quality of the things were just cheap, door handle knob was chipping paint and didn’t look strong and so much more. Please go somewhere else..
