LI Wood Heat | Kiln Dried Firewood Suffolk County NY

Only 50-60% of the wood will burn and most comes well above the humidity threshold of 20%, however, I feel for the price you are paying that 100% of the wood should burn great which is never the case anymore! Unfortunately, the quality control has slipped. Several times I have received bags of their wood that will not burn due to high water content. The only solution is to mix that bag with a bag that was properly dried which then starts to become wasteful, annoying and frustrating, especially on a cold night. There are several bags in every order that come with high water content and you can quickly determine this by attempting to burn it - it will hiss loudly and show the water coming out the ends of the piece like my photo I have attached as proof. Only other complaint I have is the wait times. They state an estimate always less than what the expected actual time frame; e.g 1-2 weeks almost always means 2-3 weeks. I wish they would address the wet wood issue as they are a decent business otherwise. The wood pieces appear to be cut too thick and are not getting anywhere near enough time in the kiln for their size.

This stuff is amazing!!! Probably can light directly with a match. Easy and clean burn. Bonus is it is delivered wrapped.

EXCELLENT experience with this company. If you need firewood, Suffolk or Nassau these people are the ones to call. I filled out a form on their website and received a call within 10 minutes. Lovely woman who walked me through their process , from delivery on how much wood, do I need it stacked, bagged wood or loose, do I need kinlin to where should they drop off the wood on property. They have different size cords so that is a plus. The gentleman who came was very nice and stacked the wood where I requested on my wood rack. He was quick and neat and even covered the wood for me ( our cover ) What a great company! I will be using them from now on!

Quality of wood and service is A+. My house is partially heated by woodstove, and good wood makes a difference. A joy to do business with.
