10 months agoI have used Ray’s for a few of my upholstery needs with the latest, re-upholstering headliners for my Tiara. The job was finished earlier than expected, they did a perfect job and the price was very reasonable. I had our Wrangler TJ interior upgraded to leather using katzkin covers and added the heated seat option. They did a fantastic job installing the covers, added more foam for additional support and the heat option works perfectly.

a year agoWent to Ray's Because I heard good things and they said "No job is too small or too big". Spoke to "John". He looked at it and immediately said no problem, and it could be done for $275.00 ! When I balked at the price, he immediately came down to $225.00. I still asked why & John said, "Well, that is one piece & the armrest is Welded to the door liner.. What I already knew was a blatant FALSE STATEMENT, because I had taken the door apart and you can clearly see it is a SEPARATE PIECE that can easily be taken out of the door panel and recovered. I agreed to get it done, but after thinking about it , I went to ANOTHER SHOP IN RICHMOND, and they correctly told me that it can be taken out and recovered.. and they would do it for a FRACTION OF THE $225.00 that JOHN said he could do it. When I brought it to his attention a day before my scheduled appointment, he said "Well if you tell me who told you they would do it I will match their price., to which i said .. Please just CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT. i Shouldnt have had to go through all that to get an HONEST estimate from a local business that does good work.. Very disapointed in a locsl business that is supposed to be looking out for customers.. rather than PRICE gouging what he thought was a customer that didn't know any better.. How many more of his customers is he doing this to,.. I just wonder. Buyer beware.. Dont always take the "Expert's " word for it . They may be LYING TO YOUR FACE!! P.S. You know how most local businesses respond to bad reviews to show the public they stand by their work and at least have some integrity in their business model. Well, Ray's has NOT responded to any reviews unless they are good. One can only surmise that what we are reading are true accounts of Bad Business Practices. Soo Sad..

a year agoHad torn driver seat, rest of upholstery was in great shape. Contemplated seat covers all the way to OEM replacement bottom cover. Called John, said he could replace the torn panel. Looks 100% factory and brand new. In and out in 1 day.
