in the last weekI visit Houston often & this is my #1 restaurant that I MUST go to each time. Incredible food, incredible staff, balanced in value. Tariq, my recent server & the management including Humberto made it another great experience. Hats off to the whole team here. I will continue to come back here every-time.

in the last weekI've been wanting to try Musaafer since moving to Houston. I will probably be odd one out with my well below a Michelin star experience. Came for our wedding anniversary lunch with our 2 year old. Overall service was good, our server could have been more attentive but nothing that bothered me. We ordered fish curry and lamb biryani for mains. We were told they are not serving lamb biryani which was disappointing since it's on the menu. I asked if chef can offer us something similar in it's place, server came back and said no. So we ordered the Chaapn. Fish curry was over powered by taste of cloves/garam masala and chaapn were not really what you expect for chaapn, the pieces of lamb were very thick and had some tomato based sauce on it. not what we expected and didn't like it. Saving grace were the cocktails and coriander shrimp. I did not want to order dessert after our dinner experience. one more thing the basmati rice was noticeably undercooked. they took that off after I informed our server. So not the Michelin star anniversary lunch we came in to enjoy. Good we tried, probably will not return.
