in the last weekMy kids love coming to Lava Island, and I really enjoy visiting during the week, especially during school hours — it’s calm, clean, and nothing like the crazy weekend rush. Staff is great, attentive. The updated layout and flow of the place is a big improvement, and customer service during the week is amazing. Weekends, however, are a different story. I understand they’re busy and staff are human, but service definitely isn’t the same. Also, the food and drink prices are high enough that we usually leave to eat elsewhere. One thing that really stood out: I wish staff would speak to parents instead of blocks away from smaller kids. One staff member snatched a block from my child, and to them it felt like being bullied by an older kid. That part could definitely be handled more gently. Overall, we still enjoy Lava Island and will keep coming — especially on weekdays!

in the last weekMy son and I played today, and we purchased the unlimited time band. It was very quiet, with maybe less than 10 kids (Thursday 1-3:30pm). My son and a friend he’d met were building (Minecraft) with the foam blocks. They were asked by a female member of staff not to block the walkway (which I totally agree with) then a male member of staff shouted “you can not do that, please put all the blocks back”! I would totally get this if it was a weekend and the place was busy, but I was supervising and not once did the boys and their build b disturb or be in anyone’s way. Choose your battles Lava Island, there are plenty of other indoor play centers we can visit! The upgrades they have made and cleanliness is top notch!

in the last weekI’ve heard how busy it can get so we went on a weekday and it was perfect! It’s so spacious and spread out with lots of space to play! Something for every kid! It was clean and maintained well for how busy it can be compared to similar places. The entry/exit points are secure if you have multiple littles and that’s a worry! They have options for food and drinks as well as a drinking fountain. Also like they don’t require their company socks so just bring any!
