6 months agoGreat place to run when it’s dry, but after 2 days of no rain it’s still flooded with rain on the underpasses of the two bridges next to Samford’s track and field/ball park. Definitely causes a risk to slip as it did today, got scraped up pretty badly and had some nasty road burn on my left hamstring and shin.

8 months agoThe Shades Creek Greenway is a very nice paved multi-use path along shades creek. It passes through mostly wooded green space with periodic urban developed areas. It is 99% flat, with a couple of inclines near road crossings. Rain wash has caused a number of areas to have sand and dirt on the paved surface and some extra care traversing those areas is advised.
