a week agoI have been coming to this salon since I was a child; however, I am no longer satisfied with the level of professionalism displayed during my recent visit. The price for a wash and blow dry has increased over time, which is not my primary concern. My concern is the professionalism associated with the service. I came in today (I was the only customer) for a simple wash, blow dry, and trim. My hair was in two braids under a hairnet and was shoulder length. Upon entering, I was greeted; however, the person who greeted me remained seated during the consultation and continued to mess with the roller rod. When discussing pricing, the stylist stated the service would be between $50 and $60 because he could not determine the length, density, or thickness of my hair. If the stylist was uncertain about my hair characteristics, I believe a closer inspection should have been conducted. Throughout the consultation, he remained seated and did not visually inspect, approach, or physically assess my hair, despite stating that he could not determine its condition. My concern is not the price range but the lack of professional engagement during the consultation process. As a client, I expect a basic level of professional assessment when pricing is based on hair length, density, or texture.

a week ago0 stars. It’s been 5 months since I got my hair silk pressed in this salon. MY HAIR BEEN FALLING OUT ever since. I should have known something was fishy when the stylist asked me if I wanted conditioner after she shampooed me. My friend told me they put chemicals in their conditioner to help with their blowout. She told me too late. Don’t go. My hair has never gotten its curls back since that day. In top of that I asked for a steam treatment, totally unaware that I was getting damaged faster with that killer conditioner

a week agoWent in for just a bob cut only, she offered to flat iron, I agreed. Left out paying $55. No wash, no blow out, no conditioner no nothing. It’s like they overcharge some if not all black customers. Black people stay out of their shops. Black American beauticians can do the same thing. Will not be going back.
