in the last weekWonderfully maintained park. Very interesting information. Learned what a Weir is. It was constructed to keep river rocks from flowing into the well. Unfortunately there is a drought so no water to walk or swim in. You can look through the water down into the natural well however.

3 weeks agoVisited Jacob's Well as part of a 2 site visit trip (also hiked up Old Baldy) to Wimberley. The hike to the Well is about a 1/4 mile of well maintained trails and easy to walk. Not crowded during the winter season (1/2/2026). Worth the visit/hike though the Well is low. Several informative signs explaining the 138' hole. Plenty of parking and 3 porti-potties at parking site.
