11 months agoPretty physically challenging hike up to the "Kings Chair," but the view was well worth it for us. The actual hike along the trail is also very beautiful with many types of trees & plants along the way. We actually started our hike on the yellow trail and did a total of 10 miles, but I think the actual "Kings Chair" part of our hike on the blue trail was around 5 to 6 miles round trip. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is somewhat fit and able to climb some steep hills. Also, bring some water to drink and snacks to eat along the way (needless to say, but keep any wrappers or snack trash in your bag instead of throwing it on the ground). Overall, great day of fun with some friends!! BTW, there is a $5 per person entry fee when entering the park.

8 years agoThe final destination of a moderate hike with multiple elevation changes. Was a perfect end to a Saturday morning hike. The King's Chair offers a peaceful overlook that was hard to leave. Overall, a 2.5 hour, round-trip hike at the most casual of paces.
