The Overwood Trail Head – LJCC Trails in Birmingham offers a narrow, less traveled hiking area that provides a sense of seclusion and peacefulness. Primarily designed as a mountain biking trail, this path also serves hikers looking for a quieter alternative to more popular destinations like Oak Mountain or Red Mountain.
While the trail’s narrowness can be challenging for some, it rewards visitors with a serene forest environment that feels untouched and away from the crowds. This spot is ideal for those seeking a more private outdoor experience without the need to travel far from the city.

10 months agoThe trail is really narrow— for sure a mountain biking trail that I was using for hiking. So maybe a user error but it was un trafficked and felt secluded without having to drive all the way to oak mtn or red mtn.
